For a finished look it has been stained with a golden teak oil finish. The stain is applied directly to the finished wood with no chemical treatment. If left outdoors the wood will naturally age to a traditional unfinished teak pattina look, or any commercial teak oil can be applied periodically to retain the finished stained teak look. This product is constructed of solid top quality teak from sustainably harvested plantations in Indonesia. Our craftsman use tenon and mortise joinery techniques which is a traditional method of furniture construction dating back to the ancient Chinese. It is supplemented with the use of solid stainless steel rust proof hardware. These benches are constructed with the same craftsmanship and quality as our adult benches. Even when your children grow out of them they will be sturdy enough to last a lifetime. They are ideal for use either indoors our outdoors.
